Quality Engineer
A design, engineering and manufacturing company of specialty components and subassemblies, with a high professional reputation for developing high performance solutions for technically advanced OEM’s in a variety of markets including Aerospace, Life Science, Medical, Satellite, and Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Engineer.
Develop standardized procedures to ensure consistent quality performance; design inspection plans; apply statistical tools, root cause analysis, problem solving techniques and identify opportunities for process improvement; champion Corrective and Preventive Action (CA/PA) program; participate as internal auditor.
Also, identify potential quality process improvements and prepare appropriate documentation to enhance consistency and training efforts
Duties:
Prepare, document, and communicate quality procedures as required to all employees
Analyze and report findings of customer returns (RMA) and internal rejections (NCR)
Issue, follow up and verify Corrective and Preventive Actions
Manage relationships with customers, suppliers and internal factory personnel for quality related issues
Participate as Internal Auditor - including auditing suppliers
Preferred Skills:
Root Cause Analysis, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six sigma
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
Experience in aerospace, medical or automotive industry
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent on the job experience.
Experience Requirements:
3-5 years’ minimum with Bachelor's degree
6 to10 years without degree
Be familiar with ISO9001:2000 Standard
