JOB DESCRIPTION:

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER sought by a Major Building Materials Company for it’s Delmar NY Plant of 250+ unionized employees. Reporting to Director of HR the HRM is responsible for providing HR & Business Leadership to Plant Management on all Human Capital matters. The HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER focuses on the Business issues including Business Process Changes, Job Roles, Organizational Structures. Good performing Plant with upcoming Capital Investments slated.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER job functions include:

•Being an advocate for SAFETY. Communicating and emphasizing the importance/critically of SAFETY to all employees.

•Lead /support SAFETY initiatives.

•Build a sound working relationship with Union Officials. Interpret & adhere to the Union Contract.

•Provide Change Management Leadership. Foster employee engagement.

•Develop confidant working relationships with the Site Manager and other key Management personnel.

•Focus on building a Work Culture that supports the achievement of Company Goals and efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•BS Human Resources or related Degree. Masters a plus.

•Manage/develop an HR Generalist for Career Growth in the Business.

•Desire Union Relations experience in a Manufacturing environment.

•Must be willing to relocate in the future for larger HR career growth roles.

•Minimum of 5 years HR experience with at least 2 years HR Management experience.

•Job will require 5% to 10% travel.
