Job Responsibilities:

SENIOR PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER sought by major Mineral Processing company for its’ Quincy, IL, area plant. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the SENIOR PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER is responsible for improving plant capacity and efficiency for all plants though Process Control Optimization. Process Control Optimization will include the development of process control algorithms for existing processes as well as capital projects and manufacturing expansions. Other functions and key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Develop processes with safety and environmental performance and compliance in mind.

· Develop and implement Engineering Standards for all plants.

· Work with Plant Personnel to troubleshoot process control issues.

· Work with Plant Personnel to optimize existing process control logic.

· Direct contractor activates during project execution.

· Evaluate new process control technologies.

· Manage projects and supervises sub-contractors.

· Optimize existing processes without affecting ongoing production.

· Evaluate and develop processing control processes.

· Identify plant process control improvements.

· Communicate project needs and requirements to management.

· Work on projects that are identified and prioritized by the Management Team.

· Project execution that ensures a timely and efficient use of capital funds.

· Project execution that ensures a minimum amount of downtime.

· Accurately determines the cost of capital and makes recommendations on expenditures based on the analysis of several alternatives

Job Requirements:

· BS Degree in Engineering required. Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering background a plus.

· 5-7 years Process Control experience in manufacturing environment required.

· Experience in mineral processing preferred.

· Working knowledge and programming of the following types of automation hardware: Allen Bradley PLC’s, ControlLogix 5000, FactoryTalk HMI, as well as other power distribution and control circuit development and wiring systems such as VFD’s.

· Proficient with ladder logic control, PLC operations and systems interface, instrumentation schematics, one-line diagrams, electrical drawings, etc.

· Ability to install and troubleshoot Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet systems.

· Ability to manage data collecting and reporting of database software systems using Historian or VantagePoint is a plus.

· Travel required up to 20% of time to support other plants.

· Must be able to read and comprehend company safety manual policies, SOP’s, MSDS, and various production schedules/ reports and engineering drawings.

· Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, management and vendors.

· Project Management experience a definite plus.

· CAPEX experience.

· Must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

· Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD design.
